I feel the Jags CAN win 20, I am just not to sure that they will.
This all depends on the status of Redus and Watson. Without the latter, this Jag team is still REALLY young.
For now, I’ll say yes only because I assume that Redus and Watson will return.
We’ve already got twelve wins. We have nine regular season games and at least one conference tournament game left. That means we would have to win at around an 80% percent clip to close out the season. I don’t see it happening, even with 3 games against teams we’ve already beaten and a visit from Denver (who is notoriously bad on the road). Florida Atlantic comes into the Mitchell Center Thursday night fresh off of a 15-point victory over conference leading Arkansas State. Hopefully we can win this one and get back some of that momentum from earlier in the season, but 8 more wins will be a challenge. Perhaps we can catch fire in Hot Springs and claim the conference tournament title and another twenty win season along with it. Either way, this team is fun to watch and I wish them luck the rest of the way.
Go Jags!
I think that it is unlikely that the Jags can win 20 games this season with Gary Redus, Lashun Watson and Raymond Sims all out.
I agree, I don’t see it happening now. They would have to win 8 of their last 9 without Watson and Sims. Coach Arrow needs Redus healthy in time for the SBC Tournament.
